Pakistan is host to one of the biggest refugee populations in the world mainly comprised of Afghan refugees. To facilitate the refugee population, the Government of Pakistan along with different agencies of the United Nations (UN), international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and local non-government organizations (NGOs) have designed different services which are available in different parts of the country.

Proof of Registration Card Modification Centers (PCM)
National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) along with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) runs Proof of Registration (PoR) Card Modification (PCM) Centers in Pakistan where Afghan refugees who are registered in Pakistan can get their POR cards modified, renewed, and get their children registered. Voluntary Repatriation Center
UNHCR Pakistan runs Voluntary Repatriation Center (VRC) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan in collaboration with Commissionerate Afghan Refugees (CAR). The purpose of these centers is to facilitate Afghan refugees who are currently residing in Pakistan and voluntarily decide to repatriate to Afghanistan.
Refugees who are voluntarily returning to Afghanistan from Pakistan are eligible to receive assistance from UNHCR in Afghanistan. To receive the assistance, Afghan Refugees should proceed through VRCs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan and obtain Voluntary Repatriation Form (VRF).

Information and Support Regarding Asylum
UNHCR Pakistan along with its partner organizations provides support to Afghan Refugees to get asylum in Pakistan. This service is for Afghan nationals who do not possess POR Card or Afghan Citizen Card (ACC).

Urban Refugee Support Unit
Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa in collaboration with UNHCR and GIZ has established an Urban Refugee Support Unit for Afghan Refugees currently residing in Pakistan. The purpose of this unit is to aid and facilitate Refugees on issues related to health, education, protection, and voluntary repatriation. Urban Cohesion Hub
Urban Cohesion Hubs are centers established by GIZ Pakistan in three cities of Pakistan in collaboration with local NGOs. These hubs promote cohesion between refugee populations and their host communities.
The hubs provide different educational courses, programs on skill development as well as legal aid, psycho-social support and health services to refugees and host communities.
